Paper Abstract:      Due to the paradigm of Natural User Interaction gestures came into focus of HCI. When using gesture interaction in an approach to make HCI more natural, the question of which gestures to use comes up. Moreover, a taxonomy seems necessary to systematize and characterize used gestures. Although gesture-based interaction is quite a young field of research, there is a taxonomy existing for nearly every possible case of use. One current classification was selected and extended, as it is the most exhaustive account existing. There was a literature research conducted focusing on which gestures have been investigated by former studies in HCI. For some actions gestures established with touch surfaces have been used, for most other actions there are not yet established gestures.
